Jim jams has dipped quite hard past few years. Not fast, cheap, or quality. Plus myself and several others in town got nasty poisoning from the same location earlier this year. I’m firmly against the Jimmy and the John these days
Edit: the “fast” is gonna be up to the specific location. We got two locations around here. They both are not fast anymore. Jimmothy take a knee

Big fan of JJ’s…. I used to travel for my job and they were always a good sandwich for the flight…enjoy 👍😎
InSpaces_Untooken
They’re really awesome for those freebies. I always do extra lettuce, tomatoe, etc. and it’s still cheap(ish) like 7.5-9 dollars. Especially if you’re a regular / or stuck to one option, then they recognize ya and hook ya up.

Jersey Mike’s >>> Jimmy
Just my opinion of course and I’ll never get over the 2 inch uneven thick slices of tomato I received on my order some years back, never returned.

The totally tuna is everything to me

I just had JJ’s for the first time in probably a decade and really liked it. Their Cuban sub is delicious!
Doesn’t compare to Jersey Mike IMO but not bad at all.

cold cuts wayyyy too thick no thanks lol

I have a love hate relationship with JJ. They are the reason why I put mayo and tomatoes on my sandwiches. I didn’t like them a decade ago. That being said, JJ has the strongest fucking onions known to man. I love onions and I cannot handle them. I have also a strange phenomenon where their sandwiches give me heartburn like 80% of the time. Worth it.

Looks like the cooked the bread all the way for once. Jimmy John’s is garbage and I used to work there about 10 year ago.
Nermcore
I used to live next to a Jimmy John’s right after college. They stayed open till 3am and I could grab a late night sandwich after being out at the bars and clubs all night. It was good in that context, but otherwise I would rather go Jersey Mike’s or Firehouse

Sorry you missed out on the pre-sellout JJs. Was much better before being purchased by Inspire Brands.
ragehard92
you missed the good years. its a shell of what it once was.
WhateverYouSay1084
I stopped going to Jimmy John’s after they got rid of their sprouts and only do shredded lettuce. The uniqueness of the sandwich was gone.

I can take or leave JJ, but my vegetarian daughter loves their veggie sandwich. It very easy to make so I started to make it for her lunches once or twice a week. Cucumber, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo and some avocado (when I could make it fresh for her but I wouldn’t put avocado on it for school.)

I never get that much meat from them

No can do. Know too much about his treatment of wild animals to give him a dime. Good thing I genuinely love Mike’s

JJ’s tends to fuck up my guts. Don’t know why, it’s just sandwich makings, tastes like food. When I need a good sandwich, Firehouse hasn’t let me down yet.

A lot of coworkers order from Jimmy John’s cause it’s free delivery since it’s right down the street and it’s cheap. John’s has it’s own delivery drivers too, and I saw a girl on her way to our work digging in her nose like SpongeBobs picking sign. *

Them- Hi welcome to jimmy John’s, can I take your order? Me-yes can I get a sandwich but with oil instead of mayo. Them-sure no problem.. they proceed to skip the oil and slather on a literal lb of mayo

I would say JJ’s is an extremely average sandwich. I don’t mean that in a bad way. It’s not mind blowing, and also not bad. The quality of meat and veggies are actually pretty decent, everything is sliced in the store, bread is baked less than every 2 hours. As with every single chain out there, your experiences are based on the staff.

Publlix has the best subs, period. Plus, they’re actually still affordable. Although I understand that they aren’t nation-wide

Used to be a general manager of JJ’s back in the old days.. 8 years ago! Only the cool kids worked there. Now unfortunately it’s not the same 😂

I used to be a pretty die-hard JJ fan. Until Jersey Mike’s came to town. Everything is better here. I have to stop myself from ordering a #26 (chicken bacon ranch Philly) on the daily. Plus, I’ve heard that the owner is super nice and heavily involved in working with franchisees to make sure they’re successful.

It’s not nearly as good as Jersey Mike’s, but Jimmy John’s still sorta hits the spot for me on occasion. I get it three or four times a year or so.

The main thing that James Jonathan has going for it is the beach club. I don’t think JM can make that, as far as I know they don’t have cucumbers. Also JJ cookies are a little better in my opinion. But growing up in IL and especially in college, JJ was my #1 go-to. Nowadays it’s probably 2 or 3 depending on how recently I last went to JM or if there’s a local deli still open.
