Black spot on Filet. Still in date by 2 days. Safe to eat?
If I just cut it away is it fine? I’m guessing it’s just blood that looks really really dark? The meat smells fine

Yes, safe! Probly just a blood vessel. If it smells okay and looks okay should be fine. 👌🏾

That might be the black goo from the movie Prometheus.
If you start running around, immune to poison atmospheres, eating people’s faces, or ramming an ovipositor down their throats, you’ll definitely know it wasn’t a blood spot.
