I did a batch of strawberry mango jam (pemonas pectin recipie). This lid is sealed on there, i can wiggle it, poke it, and lift the jar by it and the lid does not move. The center is down and not popped up. Is this still okay? Apologies, I am fairly new

  1. Did you water bath it correctly? I rarely have siphoning with jam or jelly because I leave it in the water for an extra five minutes after shutting off the heat. It’s also good practice to check for seals after it’s cooled down (preferably the next day)…that is the time to take off the rings and clean up any residue on the jars.

If you’ve processed it correctly and the seal is strong, it should be fine to eat (as long as you do not see mould when you open it).
