Cooking bacon is the way to go, especially if you're skint like me this month. Don't look down your nose at it, it's just offcuts of the same meat, less fatty than your average packet of bacon too!

Very solid effort and that’s a great tip on the bacon I’ll look out for it

The mid-shapes? Yeah they can be great but you get get some really thick lumps in there which don’t lend themself to normal uses

    Edit: mis-shapes not mid-shapes dammit

Cooking bacon? As opposed to what? Raw bacon?

There used to be a meat packing place near us and you could get trade packs of meat. It was incredible. They shut just before Covid and we have never found anywhere else 😢

Looks a belter to me £1.99 for a kilo is great value. I used to buy cooking bacon when I was skint. Did me breakfasts and also a delicious bacon pasta thing where I’d fry it with tomatoes and bolognese sauce. Bit of cheese of top, and it was amazing.

3.6/10. It’s a fry up. It has most of the essentials sans buttered toast, mushrooms. The sausages are lacking in girth; these ideally would be girthy, juicy cumberlands. The eggs look slightly well done, tomatoes too, bacon okayish. There is no attempt made at bean segregation; very disappointing. Black pudding looks to be okayish. The brownsauce seemingly plopped down into two seperate locations, touching multiple items, is unforgivable.

When I was in the Midlands I used to get the offcuts after the butcher had cut his bacon literally bagfuls of the stuff for nothing and it was smoked, within 20 minutes I had the best carbonara made in the Midlands for pennies, great source of free food. 😎😎

Looks lovely, I used to buy Sainsburys pay the difference dry cured bacon but over a couple of years they made it so so thin, I mean thinner than Parma ham thin I just couldn’t afford it so bought a pack of cooking bacon, basically off cuts and I’ve never looked back

I also, would like a kilo of bacon, for £1.99.

Some Charing on those tomatoes and looks like the eggs were cooked vigorously otherwise looks good. Enjoy your bacon win!

Cooking bacon is lovely, you can sort through it and get some nice thick bits that are like a gammon steak, thinner rashers and all sorts of weird and wonderful cuts in between.
