Hi!! I bought a used all American canner from the 1990s. I know I need to replace the peacock, but curious if I need a new part (other than the pressure regulator weight).
Also! The seal isn’t complete. Even when I screw in the wing nuts. Anyone else have this issue and know how to trouble shoot?

Are you aware that you need to partially screw down opposing wingnuts and then fully screw them down so they stay pretty even? I hope that makes sense.
