I honestly thought I was the only person that liked ketchup on my Philly!

Ketchup is controversial (on this sub, not actually irl) but sometimes it works perfectly.

Love ketchup on a cheesesteak. There was a place in my hometown that did peppers, onions, and fried potatoes, it worked perfectly to bring it all together

Need to chop the cheese into the steak a bit more before slapping it on the roll. Other than that, 👍

Ketchup is overhated imo

I’ve never had a proper cheesesteak and I love ketchup, I’m going to have to make a trip to Philadelphia to try the genuine article.

I have had it both ways and I love it both ways. Any version of the Philly cheesesteak is fine with me!

Idk about ketchup on a cheesesteak, feels wrong

I love Philly posts. Gonna be drama at the bottom no matter what the post is. Sandwich looks bomb. I’d eat it.

There is a disconcerting amount of ketchup love in this thread. I thought this was a happy place, and you’re all out here pouring sugary tomato water on your sandwiches. For shame.

Looks a little light on peppers and onions but delish otherwise 🙂

Hard no on the ketchup for me dawg. If anything, mayo is the way for me. Throw on some hots and jalapeños and some pickles with the rest of your stuff though and I’m pumped.

Everyone here is so happy to finally see a “real Philly”.. meanwhile every legit philly cheese steak I’ve ever encountered always had the cheese chopped up and incorporated into the steak, not just lazily thrown it on the bottom of what should be an amoroso roll. 🤷🏽♂️
