temporarily cooking for just myself while my boyfriend is out of the country so i currently have no use for even the “small batch” recipes. so, i’ve decided to make my own single serve recipes! yes, you can totally just bake a larger batch & freeze the left overs but this is much cuter & i prefer fresh bread. i’ve done the same scaling down for a single serving of naan & cinnamon rolls!
egg wash is optional, but i always do one!

hahaha, I did the same thing today with pizza. I made about 250g of dough last night and had my own personal pizza for lunch today.
This is the cutest fucking thing ever. Why are the good ones always taken?? Lol
unacceptable, dough must be made in quantities 500g or more to be delicious /s
On a serious note, I was doing something like this recently trying to recreate the texture of the buns from Popl Burger, the burger shop opened by Noma…. Turns out they are basically just heavily developing the gluten on what is basically a whole wheat + gluten biga, putting it in a ring form and baking that at the max of the dome before it would collapse.
Doing these kinds of one off buns is how I managed to reverse engineer it without going insane.
