I picked up this sauce the other day, as I wanted to try a different type of hot sauce. Seen fairly good reviews for it online so I assumed it was a decently safe bet.

I don't know if I just got a bad bottle what happens but it was vile. The smell made me think that it was moldy/expired, but it was supposedly good for 9 more months. Only reason why I tried it was because maybe it just smelt bad, nope taste was horrible as well like it was expired. The sauce was also like water what isn't a problem to me but something worth mentioning.

I hope it was just a bad bottle but genuinely I don't what's worse Da Bomb or this sauce.

Ah, shame you got a bad one. You should contact Bravado, they may replace it with a new one, or wherever you bought it if you bought it locally.

I have been working on a homemade smoked raspberry ghost Pepper for years. It’s hard. Lol. I had a Stonewall kitchens Raspberry Thunder in 2001 and have been chasing that dragon ever since.

  3. Sounds like a bad bottle. But blueberry in hot sauce sounds pretty vile to me on its own… 🤷

I bought this same sauce from Bravados website and I thought it tasted funky as well. My brother loved it so I just chalked it up to not my type of sauce.

not a fan of this one but the wife loves it

  6. It’s not for everyone. I can’t stand it. So I guess I count myself amongst everyone.

    Should contact them.
I’ve got a bottle in my fridge that is over two years old now and I put it on my breakfast sausage when I actually make it.
When it’s not foul like you said, it is VERY good.
A great sweet with heat mixed into one

On the other hand, the pineapple habanero one is fantastic if you like pineapple. Also goes with a lot more foods. Blueberry doesn’t. I think I have gone through at least 5 of the pineapple ones.

I hear so many good things about Bravado and tried to like them, but every one I’ve tried (including this one) has been a miss. Pretty sure I gave it away.

Is it the sweetness of the blueberry? Same feeling with huckleberry

Blueberry and ghost pepper together just doesn’t sound right. Maybe a less sharp tasting pepper would work. Wait a minute, I know, just leave out the dang blueberry!

I love on French toast or ice cream.

I haven’t tried this one but I really enjoyed the blueberry habanero sauce from Heartbeat. Goes great on a breakfast sandwich.

They’ve apparently changed the label since I had it last. Anyway, was shite. Just…not good. Vinegar and blueberries…Yuuum! Not!

For those who didn’t like this, do you think it’s the blueberry? I had a pretty good yield of red jalapenos this season, and so I made a nice batch of chipotles, and just when I had given up on my chocolate reapers flowering at all this season, a week ago I saw two ripe ones and a couple dozen green ones. So now I want to make a chipotle chocolate reaper sauce, and wanted some sort of fruit to balance it out, and thought maybe blueberries would match the flavor–and particularly the color–of the sauce, along with maybe a dash of cocoa for a note of actual chocolate to accent the chocolate reaper. It seems like a good idea, but is there another fruit that might work better? Any ideas at all would be welcome.
