    For the topping.
    2 cups of whole oats
    1 cup all-purpose flour

    1 cup brown sugar
    1 tablespoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup melted butter

    1. Combine the dry ingredients for the topping.
    2. Add in the melted butter while mixing to incorporate evenly.
    3. Set the topping aside while preparing the filling.

    For the filling.

    9 cups or approximately 3 pounds of sliced apples
    2 tablespoons lemon juice (interchangeable with lime juice or water)
    1/4 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to your liking)
    1 tablespoon cinnamon

    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    1. Prepare approximately 3 pounds (9cups) of sliced apples.
