Continuing my mission to make as many sandwiches from The Encyclopedia of Sandwiches (by Susan Russo) as I can, #12 is the spaghetti sandwich. So good!! Mostly because it's garlic bread and I loooove garlic (who doesn't). I'm definitely putting spaghetti on my garlic bread from now on. This would probably be amaaaaazing with melted mozzerella!

Love some carbs on carbs
I know you’re following recipes but I’d recommend taking a bread knife and shaving off a layer of the bread crust to spread butter/garlic on and then toast. Looks sexier, tastes like heaven
Check out sandwichesofhistory. Barry has been making sandwiches from hundreds of old cookbooks and takes submissions too. This would be hilarious to watch him make.

I like mine cold out of the fridge.
This is what I eat after smoking a big one.
Not my favorite you’ve made but want to encourage you to continue on your sandwich journey!
It’s better on regular white bread 🤌🏽
The recipe is not descriptive enough, you need to hollow out the end piece of the loaf, then pack it in tight, kind of like this

What I used to do as a kid was I’d take a roll, dig out the insides to hollow it out, then fill it with spaghetti, roast beef and potatoes, chili & cheese, etc… (depending on the meal)
I still do it. But I used to as well.
People who deny the carb on carb are so missing out. Mac and Cheese on a pizza is out of sight. I bet this sandwich is incredible!
Thank you
toast that bread
A real po boy
Ahh takes me back!
I’ve had the Scottish student version of this: spaghetti hoops on regular toast 👍
