Or is it too ugly? I know it’ll taste good, and it’s made with love. But I feel embarrassed about how it looks. I guess I didn’t put the seam side completely on the bottom before baking. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

This is highly acceptable! It looks wonderful. If anyone says different, please feel free to send those loaves to me instead. You did a great job.

You can gift it to me if you’re worried about it

If someone doesn’t make their own they’re going to adore any you give.

No pressure at all, trust me. Unless they suck.

💯 yes. But be careful. Homemade bread might get you a person for life. It’s not plain old cookies 😉

Unacceptable!! Send to me asap 🥲

But seriously. My love language is cooking food for people .. and I’ve only done this for a handful of people.

When someone cooks for me, I honestly appreciate it so much-regardless of how perfect it is. You spent time on making something for me. That means the world.

Maybe you underproofed the dough? Stick a finger in the dough gently, if it bounces back right away then the dough is underproofed. If the dough if bounces back slowly then proofing is correct.

This looks like a great gift. If it was my gift I would insist you stay for a cup of coffee and a few toasted slices.

Only if you give it to me. No need to pay for postage. I’m coming over

There’s too much emphasis on perfection. Can I make perfect looking bread? Yes. But I don’t really bother. I’d rather it taste amazing. I think they look beautiful. You can absolutely tell they are homemade and unique. I bet they smell and taste fantastic. Now you gotta make one for each of us.

  23. Absolutely beautiful bread! It feels more authentic when they don’t look like factory-made.
Homemade bread as a gift is amazing~ Anything handmade shows you’re willing to put in the time and effort for them, and if they don’t recognize that I’d seriously consider what they should mean to you 😊

As long as you’re sure the inside is baked well!

  24. I would be DELIGHTED if someone gifted me that!
