This is such a simple and FUN dessert, make it for any occasion! Serve it with vanilla ice cream, dust it with powdered sugar (our favorite way), or just eat it the way it is. It can be made without the raisins as well.

The Pastry Dough:
+ 600 g (4 ¾ Cup) Flour
+ ½ tsp. Salt
+ 340 ml (1 ½ Cup) Tepid Water
+ 4 Tbsp. Oil (canola or vegetable)
+ 2 ½ Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar

The Apple Filling:
+ 1 kg (6 ½ Cups) of Apples…Peeled, Grated, & Strained
+ 150 g (1 ¼ Cup) Ground Walnuts
+ 150 g (1 Cup) Raisins
+ 140 g (2/3 Cup) White Sugar
+ 2 tsp. Cinnamon * I use 1 Tbsp., love the extra cinnamon in it *

Coating before going into the oven:
+ 2 Tbsp. Butter
+ 100 ml ( ½ Cup ) Water
