What are some of your favorite sauces for homemade wings?
I usually stick to grocery store brands but I’m looking to expand my view.

A homemade Buffalo sauce. This is my go to recipe. Best Buffalo sauce you’ll ever have. It’s a little involved, but absolutely worth it.
Ingredients (in order of use):
2 medium carrots grated fine 3 stalks celery grated fine 1 medium onion grated fine A healthy amount of garlic minced or grated Serrano peppers chopped (seeds removed) (optional depending on the desired spice level) Habanero peppers (seeds removed) (optional depending on the desired spice level) Olive oil 1 large bottle of Frank’s Red Hot hot sauce 16oz cold, unsalted butter (get the good stuff like Kerrygold)
Directions:
Grate your carrot, celery, and onion on the finest setting of your box grater. (This will break down the fibers as much as possible to prevent your final sauce from being gritty and having to fine mesh strain it.)
In a small pot (large enough to hold a whole bottle of Franks), add in your olive oil and sweat your carrots, celery, onions, garlic, and peppers (if you are using them) for about 10-15 minutes or longer. I’ve gone as long as 30 before.
Add in a whole bottle of Franks and bring to a simmer. Keep the heat low and simmer for about 15 minutes (or longer again I’ve gone a full 30 here before too).
Once the sauce is nearly finished simmering, take your butter out of the fridge and cube it up into 1 Tbsp chunks.
Remove the sauce from the heat and pour into a large blender. Blend this mixture on high and begin to add in the chunks of butter 1-2 at a time. Wait until each is finished incorporating/melting. Once you get close to the end you can start to incorporate more at the same time. The sauce should turn from red to bright orange.
Rinse out the original pot if needed, and then pour the sauce back into the pan. Hold on as low as heat as your stove can do until it’s time to serve. If the sauce begins to separate, use a whisk to bring it back, or if it’s really separated use an immersion blender. The sauce will come right back together.

Two parts franks, one part either TJ Habanero or Melinda’s Ghost Wing sauce, a small amount of butter to taste, garlic powder, and pepper flakes.
Sometimes I don’t use garlic powder and instead use a healthy pour of screwball cherry and vanilla whiskey, which is also delicious.

Melted butter to taste, franks red hot, mikes hot honey, heat in a pot to combine and slightly reduce. Still my go to. Easy and reliable.

Highly recommend the carribean jerk from Bdubs. So hard to find though. Sometimes it’s in stock at major grocers but not often. Tbh any Caribbean jerk sauce is good. Just hard to find a sauce (most are marinades).

Franks red hot is always great. But I also like making a honey-sriracha sauce 😁

Buffalo: Frank’s Wing has a classic taste
Unique: Jerk, it’s divine
Sweet: Bourbon BBQ or a Hot Honey
Dry: Custom blend of spices
Asian: Something heavy on lemongrass, sesame oil and ginger. Otherwise, Thai peanut
Central American: Tequila hot sauce (love love cholula’s)
South American: Chimichurri
Mediterranean: Pesto or French Orange sauce
African: Berebere or Pepper Sauce
Antarctica: Idk, snow

My husband makes his sauce using 2 part Frank’s with 1 part melted butter. He blends it together in a blender with a couple cloves of garlic and 2 habaneros.

is my favorite though it’s not always easy to find. Tops, a local supermarket chain, carries it…never seen it at Walmart

You like that bottled parm garlic from BWW? My wife and I love garlic parm wings but we had to throw that sauce away. It was just nasty to us.
My go to is just to melt butter with garlic and sprinkle with parmesan.

Trader Joe’s Peri Peri sauce. Sometimes I’ll add some honey if I’m feeling extra fun.
