Hello! I bought the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ deluxe Coffee & Espresso Machine by De Longhi last week and there’s some water accumulation in the pod compartment

It also flows out like some diluted dirty coffee at the start when brewing an espresso

I’ve tried flushing it out by pressing the button without a pod but it just refills and stays as is.

Is this normal? I’m concerned about mold if the water stays like this when the machine isn’t in use.

Yeah, that’s something that happens with the Pop. Just dry it with a dry paper towel.

I got the Pop+ Deluxe and this is pretty normal activity, if there’s a significant amount of water like in your picture then I might just fold up a paper towel and dab it dry before I load my coffee. Same with the excess coffee liquid at the start, I assume it’s just excess coffee from the last brew, but if you’re not using the machine for a longer period of time there’s a function to empty it out so that nothing remains in the machine.
