I’m a huge nerd and design engineer, so when it comes to the dosing funnel I had a lot of over-engineered details I wanted in my dosing funnel: – Lock into my Rancilio (or any E61) bottomless portafilter snugly instead of just sitting or using weak magnets – Shape the outside so that the portafilter can basically hang on the Eureka Mignon while grinding. Allows you to free up your hands to get other stuff ready – Shape the side of the funnel so you can also use it to push the on/off button – Make the funnel curved so tightly conforms to the lip of my IMS 18g basket (most are round so this is probably fairly universal

i have one suggestion, sand the inside of it so grounds don’t get stuck in the grooves. other than that i love over-engineering shit like this so i approve

I have a very similar design, but the inside is a little bit smaller of a diameter than the mouth of the basket. Ensures grounds can’t get stuck on the metal edge

You could also use some food safe coating as a cherry on top

The key there is that your funnel sits outside the basket. This makes it easier to use the tamper without having to take the funnel off. Cleaner and faster.
No matter what kind of grind consistency you’re getting, it’s not okay to keep a tiny person trapped in there to chew your beans and spit out grounds. Please do better next time /s

With new funnel from 3bomber everything work great.
A++++++ It took me a while to find a funnel that is actually a funnel that is wider at top then tapers to the size of the opening. I dont know why most I see are shaped not much wider than the initial opening. The name is in the product…Make the product to match the name!! Not hard. But nope…they are mostly all straight. But the iKape with magnets I found is nice wide and tapered to fit. I did try 6 different ones that LOOKED like they would work. This one did.
