I literally followed all the steps exactly what they say and now that I’m done the light on my machine is still half red and green. Any insight? I don’t want to buy more descaling liquid since it’s 15 bucks. This is my first time descaling. Thank you.

Look up a YouTube video and follow it all the way through. You don’t have to use the descaling liquid again, just use water.

Use water instead of the descaling liquid. This always happens to me and I’ve found in the last rinse cycle you need to let it completely empty and run for 10 or so seconds with no water in the reservoir

Descaling these machines is my nightmare

Thank goodness they made the process easier using the Nespresso app with the Pop and Next. No more strange button combinations, just a button press in the app and, like, two button presses on the machine throughout the process.

Let the rinse cycle drain all the way- like suck every drop of water out. If not, it will stay in descaling mode.

The first time I descaled mine it got stuck too. I went on YouTube and looked in the comments of the nespresso video where it shows how to descale this machine.

If I’m not mistaken, unplugging it and leaving it for a few seconds reset it. If you’d like I can look through my YouTube history and link the video?

Put only 1 cup of water in it and let it run the cleaning cycle just like you did the descaling. Make sure it is completely empty and done trying to run, it will make a horribly loud noise because there is no water left. Then take it out of the special menu the same way you put it in. It should go back to green.

I’ve been using warm water with citric acid. Does a nice job. Water has to be warm to mix the acid into the water.

Why they make this process so unnecessarily complicated is beyond me. Thankfully, I’ve never had to descale my machine, and I don’t think I ever will unless the machine warns me too lol
