Has anyone tried the N°20 line? I’m a sucker for the limited edition series but $3 a pod was steep! Looking forward to sampling this AM.

The N°20 from Nespresso is flavorfully complex, with subtle fruitiness and less acidity, especially compared to many of Nespresso’s varieties, which are often roasted too long and too intensely.
I would compare N°20 most closely to Cosi or Volluto, which are similarly lightly roasted, even though they are less fruity.
However, we must not forget the high price. Is the Nespresso N°20 good? Yes! Is it significantly better than other varieties? No! Is it worth the price? That’s something everyone has to decide for themselves. You can treat yourself to a pack to have tried the coffee. However, I wouldn’t include it in my standard selection mainly because of the price.

Search for it on the sub. There’s been a lot of posts, it’s at least divisive. Some liked it, but many didn’t or outright hated it. Supposedly it has a very sour taste that’s not for everyone, and even most of those who did enjoy it were not convinced that it worths the price tag.
Personally I also find the conspiracy theory plausible that Big N is testing the market with the price, to see if they can get away with 3$/cap if they advertise the product as premium. If it works, we can expect to see more of the premium pods priced unrealistically expensive. So I wouldn’t buy it, neither based on others experience nor to demonstrate agreement with the price.

I asked the associates at my boutique because I was curious and all three of them said it was not worth the hype. Its over marketed for FOMO consumers.

It’s really good IMO. Is it worth it, I don’t think it’s worth $3 a pod but maybe 2.30 – 2.50. Should that prevent you from trying it, no. I bought 2 sleeves for the wife and I for those rough mornings as a treat.

Let’s be honest, all Nespresso is wildly overpriced and N°20 is no exception. It’s good but not for that price.

(Un)popular opinion, i love them. It’s a nice special taste

The most overhyped OL capsule since JBM. At least almost everyone agreed that JBM was good (especially as an Americano) or above average! Probably more than half of this sub think it’s too sour!

Not everyone loves it but I sure do. Try it!

When I logged in on Friday to check for pumpkin spice and seen this recommded ….had to laugh my ass off seeing almost £22 a sleeve of OL and alnost double VL. Especially seeing it be compared mostly to “cosi” or “volluto” which are literally my only 2 instant “straight to the bin” pods from nespresso EVER and wouldn’t drink either those for free, Guys, don’t let them take the piss out of us even more like this. Prices are already crazy enough, my thoughts are in line with the poster above thinking they’re trying to test the water with how much harder they can push prices on us !!! Don’t care, there’s no way on earth it is THAT amount of money “good”. Perfectly happy with my many gorgeous OL current choices, thanks. Exception of the two aforementioned to which this has been compared 😅 No way, José

I like the packaging. That’s about it. Lol

I really like it, I’ve been making them into americanos and i think they’re delicious. I agree about the price tho, I’ve bought 2 and I won’t buy another. The point was to kick my Starbucks habit and at these prices, I don’t see that happening. If they start doing this regularly I can’t justify forking out this much money for just a few pods often.

I almost caved in and tried it… I might just do it once but I agree with the price. That’s basically the cost of a drip coffee at a coffee shop lol

I was disappointed, especially after all the hype. It was alright but not worth the price

I bought the 5 pack because of the price. It makes a shot, I steamed some nonfat milk with some SF vanilla syrup and two tbsp of the creamer I like. It was really good. Smooth, not too bold. I didn’t pick up on the citrus notes but I have a really poor sense of smell which affects my taste so that could just be me. I would 100% buy them again if they were regular priced, but at $3 each these five are probably all I’ll ever buy.

I tried it. It was awful.

IMHO this coffee doesn’t really shine as much as it should as an OL capsule. I agree with most others here that it’s a good coffee but its not worth what is being charged.
I still think La Cumplida Refinada was one of the most unique LE coffees Nespresso has ever offered, and I wish they would try to bring it back.

Not a fan. This is the last Nespresso branded pod I’ll be buying. Nestle don’t need my money
Getting off brand from now on

Alright, I tried it this AM and I actually do like it. It’s unique/special as others have said. It’s light and acidic. But IMO it is not worth the pricepoint (tbf it would basically have to change my life to be worth $3/pod lol). Next time I’ll try it as iced americano. I don’t think I would pair it with milk. Will be a nice “something different” pod to have on hand for a while, but I will not be buying it again at this pricepoint.

It’s terrible.

Tried the VL version in the Leeds boutique this week and not really impressed. Was told it tastes best if you eat the orange biscuits with it to round off the sour edge. If a coffee can’t stand on its own merits then it’s not worth the money

Yawn, #20 is Old News for the last two to four months, depending on where you are. Short version of the endless threads: You CANNOT take anyone’s word for it. Buy a set and try them. Then either complain loudly here or buy some more before they’re all gone.

We enjoyed trying it this morning. We liked it, but don’t think it’s 3x better than the regular Nespresso branded options.

I got it because the orange blossom notes caught my eye …. It did not in fact taste like orange blossom 😃

Yeah – blecccch. Trying to get my partner to drink the remaining 4 pods but so far no luck. Will probably have to toss them.
