As the title states, a friend just got back from visiting family on the east coast and she gave me 3 cooked frozen lobsters that she brought back. The lobsters were cooked and frozen 3 days ago so they are quite fresh. I was thinking of reheating from frozen at 140° for about an hour.
Has anyone tried to do something like this before? Can anyone see any sort issue with this approach? Would it help to add some butter to the bags or just serve garlic butter when we eat it?
Update: did it on Wednesday night, they turned out great. I added nothing to the bags and left them in about an hour and a half at 140°. They were the same texture as when you get boiled lobster, soft and not chewey. I served them with some garlic butter and scalloped potatoes done in a cast iron.
