I suddenly got the urge to bake sugar cookies last week and have made dough 4 times, basic icing 3 times, and buttercream once which was a pain for my first time haha.

My partner kindly provided his 3D printer, and I dove deep into finding awesome designs provided by folks online. We printed the cutters and stamps with a natural filament, but I don't think I will reuse them after this season.

These look so good!!! I was going to ask where you got the cookie cutters but I see they were homeade too. That is awesome!!

  9. LOVE THEM!!

I think it’s so cool how you 3D printed the molds too, totally makes them feel even more customized!

For the buttercream (I saw you saying it was weird to work with; it’s not meant for cookies but looks amazing and IMO sort of adds to the texture/3D printed aesthetic — filament sort of looks like that sometimes I think?), next time try piping icing with a medium consistency to outline and a thin consistency to fill the blobs in. After that, use a toothpick to clean up any parts.

Overall, SO creative and SO well done!
