*Not my cake* My son asked for a cake like this for his birthday. What do you think the top and bottom (the “graham cracker”) is made of?

It needs to be sturdy enough not to flop down. It looks edible.

Maybe a large biscuit baked on a tray and cut while still warm get that sort of edge? I don’t think cake would be strong enough to pull that off without added supports

Gingerbread or a blondie bar, maybe?

Rice Krispies, iced to a graham cracker color?

Looks like the type of gingerbread used to make gingerbread houses. Probably trimmed to size while still warm to get the sharp edges.

  6. Definitely a cookiebiscuit of some sort. If I were recreating, I’d probably just do some time of ginger/cinnamon biscuit. I love s’mores so I’m jelly

Ginger bread with the outside cut off I would say

I’ve made that cake, I made homemade graham crackers

Whatever it is, there’s probably a cardboard support that’s slightly smaller than the size of the layer to prevent it from flopping

Kind of looks like a large biscotti.

First thought was biscocho (Filipino version) which is basically just buttered toast bread. Not to be confused with biscocho which is a type of cake apparently.

Assemble it all at the last minute or the top and bottom will get soggy and fall apart

Almost looks like a cookie baked like biscotti

    That’s a s’more cake, yes?

If so, they should be (and look like they are) graham crackers.

I bet it’s an actual graham cracker. Just cut thick – Probably par baked then cut then baked alittle bit more

    Rice Krispie squares, well-compressed.

as others have said it’s likely not very delicious. if i wanted something that would be sturdy and yummy, i’d find a ginger snap or maybe a crisp shortbread or british “biscuit” and coat it in cinnamon and brown sugar.

From another post with the same cake design [https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl9RDgwM2hI/](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cl9RDgwM2hI/) It’s a chocolate cake with s’mores filling and “2 Huge Homemade Graham crackers”

And here’s a video of them panning around the cake [https://www.instagram.com/p/ClyZoLqvSrT/](https://www.instagram.com/p/ClyZoLqvSrT/)

I think it’s a peanut butter Rice Krispie treat sheet. Or- blondies? Maybe a shortbread? Not sure.

I would assume homemade graham cracker.
It isn’t dark enough to be gingerbread. I make them all the time to build with
