I like to toast my buns on the griddle. Browning them with some compound butter can add an extra dimension of yum to the Burger. Toasting helps prevent the dreaded soggy bottom.
Make some pancakes and drizzle some real maple syrup over it. It soaks into the pancake. Repeat the process but replace butter with rendered bacon fat. That’s pancakes with syrup on top instead of turning it into a syrupy sponge.
