Have you ever seen seared black cod on a nigiri list before?

    I tried black cod (sablefish) for the first time a few months ago and absolutely loved it. Last week, I saw it on a sushi menu for the first time!

    Miso glazed seared black cod nigiri. They were heavenly!! I might try to make them myself at home.

    I’m curious if anyone has seen this before? I’ve only ever seen it at the one spot but I know this fish is gaining popularity in the states.

    Nope, never seen this. I love black cod. Get it from a buddy who fishes for it commercially. Bomb. I would think it would make great sushi

    That sounds fucking amazing. I was so hype when I found sablefish for $10/lb at Whole Foods a little while back. Don’t think I’m brave enough to try making sushi out of that though.
