I have one question, why do some people here, on the sub, have more than one “expensive” grinder? is it for looks alone? or are there really some grinders that are better for finer/coarser grinds?

Finally picked up a Lagom P100 with the Mizen Omni burrs. To be perfectly honest, it’s great, but also a great example of diminishing returns. Obviously, it is not five times better than my Niche. It’s probably not even twice as good, and it’s certainly less forgiving.
The best shots from the P100 are better than the best I’ve gotten from the Niche, especially when you drink lighter roasts. But the Niche still makes perfectly good coffee, especially if you install a slow feed mod, and I do feel like unless there’s something specific you can name about your current setup that you absolutely can’t stand, an “endgame” grinder like this probably isn’t necessary.

The exception is that you should not exceed D-1 where D is the amount of coffee stuff that results in your spouse filing for divorce.
