I love Alsatian gewurz. Wouldnt go with that pairing personally 🙂

Was just there earlier this year! We had a Grand Cru Gewürztraminer with our first meal… it was everything I hoped for and more.

My favorite New World Gewurz so far has been Anderson Valley, CA.

Sounds like a great bottle and pairing. Lots of great Gewürztraminer coming out of Südtirol as well in my opinion!

Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris from Alsace are the best!

You have to go there then, I loved the place. The villages somehow got through the wars. Cannot wait to go back. Rickweir.

See if you can find some from Northern Italy. Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli, Vigneti Delle Dolomiti. The proximity to the Alps really makes Gewurztraminer thrive.

Don’t know Amy Gewurztraminer, but I know her sister Lisa.
