   While I agree the dome thermometer blows, the issue isn’t just quality but also the fact that it’s at the top of the dome.

   Something like the Thermoworks Signals gives you grate temperature as well as several meat probes. You can also add the fan to it later.

   Yes it’s more money but it does a ton more.

   I attach a Fireboard alligator clip to the stem of analog thermometer, It works great
