The market had like 4 of their Sauces and I opted for the original. Killer flavor. Not tomato based like aardvark, not chili pepper based like a lot of taco Sauces, not grassy like super hots, not smokey like Chipotle or Adobo sauces… it tasted great, like a less chemical and more refined version of their packets. Heat level is 5/10

I’ve only had the pink bottle. Great with potstickers but I strangely loved it on turkey sandwiches
I picked up some single serve packets that I keep in my work truck.

Yeah this is the thing I don’t often seemed acknowledged here – the bottled sauce, at least for this version and the 2x, is clearly a different recipe from the noodle packets. I love the stuff, have this version and the 2x in the fridge at the moment. I like eating the noodles from time to time for a nice hit of spice, but IMO the sauce is the better all round product.
It reminds me of a combination of a hot sauce and “chicken salt”, which is very popular in Australia, a chicken flavoured combination of salt and MSG. A less vinegary, more Umami hot sauce, it’s nice having a different variety of flavour profiles to choose from.
I love it, will put it on almost anything savory. Mix it with Kewpie for a delicious spicy mayonnaise.
Is the sauce thin/runny like standard hot sauce or is it thicker?
