My local restaurant no longer lists it, but does deep fried gyoza and it’s so darn good

Here’s the recipe I use if you want do it from scratch, those ones were made with frozen gyoza skin.

use T55 flour (I guess it’s an all-purpose flour, depends on where you are ?), warm water and a bit of cornstach.
    410g flour
    15cl warm water
Mix and pour slowly the water, it takes a bit of time, knead it by hand or use a robot, and when your dough will be ready it will look like it’s kinda messed up and ugly : trust the process.
Film it and let it rest for 30 mins at least, rom temp.

    Meanwhile, the filling :

    300g ground pork
    2 chopped carrots
    1 onion
    Cabbage
    Ginger
    Garlic
    Mirin
    Sesame seeds
    Soy sauce
    Sesame oil

Finely chop all your veggies. Let your veggies cook a bit first, and your ground pork and grated garlic and ginger then deglaze with some mirin, and let it cook. You can add a splash of soy sauce if you dont wanna use regular salt. Once it’s cooked, let it cool down a bit and go back to your gyoza skin.

Cut your dough in 3 or 4 equal pieces and use a pasta machine, cut big circles (at least 5cm diameter). Place your filling in the center (dont put too much otherwise you won’t be able to close em), fold (idk how to explain this part *with words* but I’m sure you can find some tutorial) and seal with a bit of water.

    Cooking :
In a very hot pan, throw your beauties. Let em grill for a few minutes, add water onto the pan, lower your fire, put a lid, and let em cook for a few minutes.

Add (or not) a bit of chili oil, and enjoy ! 🥟🥟🥟

PS : I’m sorry if I made some mistakes, english is not my native language 🥹
PS 2 : Thanks for the compliments ✨
