  1. I think you should see if they make a silvered gray like an old house that's been in the sun for many years.

  2. Kent, due to the cabinet being exposed to the elements, I recommend that you use a quality deck stain that shows off the wood grain. Thompson's water seal in my opinion, doesn't protect the wood for very long, especially when applied to vertical surfaces! I would also consider using non corrosive fasteners and drawer pulls.

  3. OK Kent! Were is Uncle Roger? You are crossing over into dangerous territory! LOL I think Uncle Roger will approve.. LOL great videos Kent.
    Great Day!

  4. Hello 👋🏽 there yes leave it natural it looks nice, and omg that dish looks yummy I’m going to try doing this in our black stone grill didn’t think of that I know Jose will try to do this outside!! Thank you for sharing this with us ❤much much blessings to you and your family 🙏🏼from Diana n Jose Vasquez saying Hello 👋🏽 to you and everyone from Pennsylvania ❤👍🏼👍🏼

  5. Mr. Kent- Trip Martin here again- stain your new countertop and then seal it with Thompson’s water seal, especially since it will stay outside! God bless you and Shannon!

  6. I used to like your videos when you mentioned what spices can be used instead of your custom spice blend. But this is just infomercial. I may watch another video in the future or not. But if it turns out to be another infomercial, I'm done.

  7. Just one modification I think you missed. Leaving rice overnight in a fridge is good step, however it shouoldnt be sealed in an air tight container. The whole purpose of doing that is to let it dry out littlebit so it fries better, so you got to let that moisture out. Great recipe otherwise!

  8. My wife bought me a Camp Chef and the paint fell off plus it rusted within weeks. Disappeared with it. Black stone imma buy.

  9. Kent, long time woodworker here, for the type of wood you used, accentuate the grain by quickly passing a torch flame over the grain to slightly darken it for contrast, and then top coat it with a good UV stabilized/resistant exterior polyurethane. I regularly visit a friend in Deming and I know how harsh the New Mexico summer and winter months can get. I would not recommend Thompson's waterseal. Also, New Mexico is high desert, UV exposure levels there are higher ( I sunburn quickly while I'm there), that along with the monsoon season, will require more maintenance reapplication(s) of Thompson's than a good UV resistant stable exterior polyurethane. Next time you're in/near Ruidoso, head over to Village Ace Hardware and pickup some (oil based) Minwax Helmsman clear-semi gloss SPAR Urethane… good stuff!

Now for the Chicken fried rice… yum. I've making it for a long time almost the same way (corn and carrots). Up until a few years ago, I could eat hot chilies, can't tolerate the "heat" anymore… acid reflux and hemorrhoids.. what goes in burning, comes out burning! ♨♨ Many times, I've contemplated keeping a roll of toilet paper in the fridge for those ¡Ay, caramba! moments… LOL!

Thank you greatly for coming out with the Lower Sodium Original Blend. Please do the same thing for the Mesquite smoke seasoning. The regular sodium content has been the only thing that has been holding me back in buying your seasonings.

God bless You, Shannon and the furry food critics.

  10. Really Kent, fried rice? asian food? who cares what "uncle rogers" has to say, that guy is over rated. But you trying fried rice on your own? please…stick to cowboy american classics. stay in your wheel house.

  11. I love a nice medium cherry stain, then seal the stain with Thompson water sealant would give it that nice coverage that would keep the wood protected. ❤❤❤

  12. As a guitarist, I am a HUGE fan of wood stains. You could do a nice red wine stain, or darken it to almost walnut with a black stain.
Of course, being OUTDOORS, Thompson Water Seal is a very necessary finish.

  13. Seems like some cyber warriors came to claim for the use of knifes for cutting vegetables or ingredients to break the intensions.
Since Fried Rice is Chineese food, I think you have to follow the Chienese food way. make Leek oil or Chickin oil.
There are some major methods for making fried rice though I whouldn't suggest one for the best.
Use Chicken oil and dry out the vegies and cooked rice then put the eggs and to dress up the rice with egg. That I think one way of cooking a Fried rice though I'm also not the master of fried rice so. It sometimes a difficult dish.
