    I was just going to slice it in half and go for it but maybe there’s a way to tell before?

    Its folded like a horseshoe from the looks or an upside down U. The bottom halve cut horizontally and the top half cut vertically

    You can sometimes tell based on how the meat separates

    Give it a tug and you can usually see it pretty easily.
