Pretty monochrome dish but would still look good on a solid white dish. The patterned dish adds a lot of chaos and looks a little gross altogether

STUNNING bowl/plate. I’m obsessed. However, I think it’s working against you. It would work if your sauce was the base and other items placed on top. There is not a clear stop between the elements on the right and the pattern on the bowl. I don’t think it’s necessarily too brown. I think it’s the china outshining the food. Try a more subtle bowl or using the sauce to cover the bottom and building everything on top of it. Make sure the sauce ring is visible and I think this could work if you’re committed to using this bowl. Looks delicious 🙂
Edit: I’d also add that the elements on the right look a bit…unrefined. Maybe some strategic placement of the sage/garnish in general could elevate it. That’s just me! I would devour this in a heartbeat even if it was served in a garbage bag. Great start, chef!

The dish as in food looks delicious. The actual plate is way too busy and detracts from the great components.
