Alternative title: Lessons were learned…
I’m back at it, for my 4th go at sugar cookies and decided to dive into one of the more difficult cookies in Megan Warne’s masterclass.
Spoiler: it was difficult
Lessons:
– My hybrid icing was definitely not hybrid enough. My poor croc’s teeth became very melty looking.
Flooding with hybrid is great for complicated shapes, but you really have to be careful about cratering.
The little shape transfers are easy and fun as hell to do
Cutting out your cookie shapes with paper stencils instead of cookie cutters takes a long time, but opens an entire world of fun shapes!
I am slow AF at making cookies, but it is delightful.
