lol looks like you got that new âmake your own briquettesâ charcoal powder.

Cheap charcoal, thatâs why. All charcoal will have a certain amount of coal dust in the bottom of the bag from shipping and the pieces grinding together, etc. In charcoal, like most everything else, you get what you pay for.

I went fogo and never went back. If never thought I’d become a charcoal snob but there is a lot of junk out there.

Is that Blues Hog? That’s a shame, one of my favorite brands of charcoal for the money. I’d reach out to them and send this picture

I didnât realize IKEA was selling charcoal

Don’t even use royal oak. It has more rock than charcoal. Use B&B competition oak and hickory. It’s like $10 a bag. The only problem with briquettes is there alot ash left.

How could you pick this bag up and not notice that it feels like a bag of compacted sand and not a bag of individual chunks of coal?

Bear in mind even a respected fuel brand can be handled in a shitty way along the supply chain and end up pulverised by the time it meets you. I donât bother with some shops or Amazon, for examples

Seal the bag and burn it only hope

I donât usually return charcoal but Iâd make an exception on this bag

Do you know what the burn rate is on rocks? That stuff will go forever.
holden_muhgroin
Thatâs just smoke dust. Use it like a dry rub.
Etherealfilth
Put it in gelatine capsules and use when you have upset tummy. The savings you’ll make on charcoal tablets will be unbelievable.
