Weber Spirit 2, four years old. Currently 30 degrees and windy at 7,800’. Had almost now propane flow, so I switched to a full tank kept at room temp. No improvement. Switched to a different full tank at outdoor shed temp. No improvement. Called customer service, sprayed warm soapy water on connection points, and suddenly it works. Do I need to warm my connections before grilling? Hairdryer? Idk what to do

Yeah, liquid propane does not like to turn to gas in the cold. My dad told me stories about putting a tea candle under the tank. I’d never try it but there’s a reason they sell insulated tank covers.

Charcoal doesn’t have that problem, just sayin… 😉

I have both propane and charcoal grills, both have advantages and disadvantages.

  3. I think the problem is the frozen brass connection in second photo. You can see the ice. Need to warm them up

Get a bowl of hot water and a washcloth. Wrap it around the brass connections, repeat a couple of times, and you’re golden.

  5. Is it stuck in bypass mode? Google what this is. I have the exact same BBQ and had a heating problem the other day in a warm climate and it turned out it was in bypass mode.

If you hadn’t used the grill for a few months prior it could have spider eggs in the tubing. I use mine just about twice a week.
