Customers house I was working on today, had it in his backyard, said he hadn’t used it in over a year and it wasn’t working. He didn’t want to deal with having to fix it. I offered him $200 and he accepted. Turns out it was still under warranty, did a troubleshoot over the phone with Traeger, and they offered to send replacement parts. Super happy as I’ve been wanting a Traeger for years and was planning on buying one in a couple of weeks during Black Friday. There are some flaws to this, a couple of dents, induction plate not included. Also looks like there is a dent on hood that needs to be popped out, this dent causes a slight opening when hood is shut which I’d assume would leak smoke. Does this look fixable to you guys?

Traeger on!

If you got a working timberline for $200 it was a steal. I guess you’ll know once the parts come.
In the meantime you could check to see if that dent leaks by lighting up a smoke tube, placing it inside, and seeing if anything comes out. You could stick a piece of flue tape to cover it (usually good up to 600F). Won’t look great, but will take 10 seconds and solve your problem.
200?! Damn, what a steal!!
wow, that’s a $3000 grill under warrranty? what a fantastic deal. you’re missing the induction plate insert on the left but you can just lay a cutting board on top of it to use as a shelf or find a replacement plate if you really want. you can probably bend or hammer that lid back into shape pretty easy
