After this initial issue, I deep cleaned all components thinking it was a dirty issue, although after a deep scrub it still happens. Looks like the white plastic part is above a flame also. Please help solve!

That looks like insufficient gas pressure to me.

Did you shut the gas off at the tank on the regulator? Disconnect everything, hook it back up and reopen the tank slowly. Sometimes I have that issue.

Might have set off the safety sensor that’s made to prevent large leaks. Turn off the propane tank with the grill on. Then turn the grill off. Turn the tank on turning the know slooooowly (so it doesn’t trigger the sensor again). Then try to light up again. Good luck. Oh, and if you are using 1lb bottles I would just turn the grill off. Unscrew the bottle, then start over. Good luck

How old is the regulator? Seems like it’s maybe in need of replacement.

You might have bent the housing for the white bit.
I had a similar issue on my Q after a clean. It looked clean but I used a fine needle to poke each hole in the burner to remove debris that had been pushed in and that sorted it.

The burner is probably clogged. Try removing it and give it a good shake. Replacement burners are not that expensive if you need to replace it.

Unplug it for 30 seconds

Is it level

Are you using a hose to connect to a 20lbs tank? I actually had one go bad. My portable grill would light, then after about 10 seconds the gas levels would drop. I have no idea how the hose could go back like that since it’s just a tube. I assume it’s a clog, but if it were it wouldn’t take 10 seconds for the gas to drop.
If that’s not it, perhaps your gas cannister is low.
Or it could be there is moisture inside the burner from cleaning. I’ve seen that happen when my burners get really wet. Just let it heat up for a while.

Ain’t got no gas in it

Because you have water in the tube. Just go blow through all the holes with your mouth. Or let it dry.

I had a similar issue with my Q300. Took apart and cleaned everything… Still to have low flame. Changed the regulator, and the difference is huge, now it’s pumping out heat at the level of new!
