Preferably something with tomato sauce and cheese that tastes like just a low calorie version you could find at a typical pizza shop, and still somewhat resembles what most people would think of when you say the word "pizza".
I don't care if it's only like 30% fewer calories than normal, if that's the best tasting low-cal you've had. I'd rather make something like that and limit my portions than make something that is much lower cal but could barely be labeled anything close to pizza.
Ideally something with a photo of the food, whether it's a youtube link, or a recipe link, or just a simple recipe with your own photo.
thanks!
edit: Was just searching youtube and saw this and in the intro he basically said the the same thing that I did, about trying to make something that still tastes close to the real thing. Maybe this will help someone. Have not made this yet but it looks promising. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3f8-bHPYWk

I usually just use one of these for the base because it’s doughy, like a thin-ish pizza base, really good texture. Then I’ll finely dice some garlic cloves and fry them, pour over some passata and herbs of choice, simmer for 10 min and use that for the sauce. Then I’ll add low fat mozzarella. Comes out pretty low cal depending on brand of mozzarella and literally tastes just like a pizza 🙂

He has a ton of pizzas – I tried the Buffalo chicken one and can vouch it was pretty amazing.
It also can’t really be called pizza but I personally love this as a quick dinner: Take a large tortilla, warm it on a pan, spread tomato paste and a bit of marinara on top, add your favorite pizza spices (i add italian herbs, garlic, chilli, smoked paprika) and then on one half you sprinkle shredded cheese, cover it with nice ham and then sprinkle cheese again. Fold the empty half over it and grill for a bit longer on both sides until it’s brown and crispy and the cheese melts. Cut it into triangles and eat while still warm! It’s like a very low cal but tasty take on a calzone pizza. Or a pizza quesadilla haha.
i live in the uk and m&s do these for 300-400+ calories and they’re so good!

Taking all the pizza ingredients and stuffing them in a large portabella mushroom cap. Taste just like pizza with mushrooms.

40g protein 500 calories and you get a decent size. Instead of pizza sauce I just add a little water to 2 tablespoons of tomato purée as I always have that in the fridge. I add my own topping choice and use low fat cheddar cheese. But these yoghurt flour crusts are actually really tasty and easy, skyr yoghurt is my go to.
So in Italy they have “Pinsa” which is a lower calorie, fat, and carb pizza and it’s fantastic! I’ve never made the base myself since they sell it in store here but I’m sure it’s not too difficult. Also I could see Whole Foods selling the base ?
If not, I’ve used Lavash Bread to make flatbread pizzas before and it’s great, tons of recipes out there on TikTok
I also love a good cauliflower crust pizza although it’s definitely its own thing
Just don’t get the cheese! Pay for the best wood or coal oven pizza you can find, just tomato sauce and pile those veggies on! So much flavor. 😋
Jospeh’s pita bread
Prego No sugar marinara sauce
Low fat mozzarella
Turkey pepperoni
Add veggies if you like
Lavash bread
I love banza brand pizza crust. It’s made of chickpeas but it’s not weird like you might think. It reminds me of totinos. I like to add spicy sauce, mozzarella and turkey pepperoni.
Two-ingredient dough (self rising flour and nonfat greek yogurt) with some seasoning as the crust
Pizza sauce – the kind I get is like 25 cal for 1/4 cup
Kraft fat free mozzarella
Peppers, onions, turkey pepperoni, turkey sausage
I like lavash bread for a flatbread pizza. One sheet is about 100-120 calories per sheet depending on the brand. Plus they have fiber and protein. I just add topping as I would a normal pizza. My go-to is goat cheese, hot honey, prosciutto and arugula tossed with salt, fresh pepper, and balsamic vinegar.
If you want a pizza with a thicker crust, Brooklyn BRED thin crust is 200 cals for a full crust. A little more calories, but still easy to get a nice pizza for about 400 cals.
You just made me realize I could make a pizza bagel on a 647 bagel! Ooooh gonna try this
Not tomato sauce, but I love doing a BBQ pizza with the canned chicken crust hack. Chicken crust, cover with bbq sauce, cheese, and red onion. Delish and high protein
