Yes this is weird and yes this is the asian in me. I cannot do sweet breakfast. I need something warm and savory. This hits all those points and it is easy! Microwave only recipe
Ingredients: oats, water, chicken stock cubes (small amount for flavor), pepper, pinch of salt, chilly oil, sesame oil, sesame seeds, dumplings and kimchi (all ingredients are optional lol, you can mix whatever you want)
I've done this with miso paste in the past. Delicious too.

Hell yeah man, I love me a good gruel – I usually make a pot in the rice cooker and I’ve been experimenting with adding bacon fat instead of butter for my savory pots and I’ve been diggin’ it.
