Weber Barbecue Bible…dangerous error.

I did this and blasted charcoal and slab all over my garden, luckily no one hurt.

Yea almost got killed in college when a neighbor started a bonfire on our shared concrete patio causing an explosion that sent 4 foot flaming logs a few stories high.

Insane experience having a bonfire that was three feet away suddenly raining down from above along with concrete rubble

I don’t know what the fuck you guys are doing but I start mine inside the grill. This is not rocket science.

  3. I’m curious how hot this would need to be to make a slab explode. Also I’m curious what the air temp is beneath the chimney. Air should be coming in the lower holes and connecting upwards so the temp below the charcoal should be the result of radiance and some conduction from the steel.

I just have a couple bricks I set mine on. Provides good air flow below the chimney.
