I know it looks really simple, but I was really proud of it after a few (less successful) attempts at strawberry shortcake in the past few years. Whipped cream frosting btw!

And if anyone has any tips on using a turntable, I’m still a novice with it and appreciate any tips and tricks 🙂

You did a great job on that. The strawberry flowers are a perfect touch. I bet it’s delicious. The turn table tips and tricks is something I could use too. I’m never too old to learn new stuff.

Looks like you’re the one that should be giving tips, that is clean.

Very classy. Use a Perspex cake board the exact same width as the cake (for naked cakes) and a tall scraper the height of your cake, then the edge will always be perfect. If you plan to add frosting to the sides of the cake use a board that is wider than the cake to account for your desired depth of frosting, so between 1 to 2 cm wider – depending on how thick you want the frosting. Keep the flat base of your scraper on the turn table to create the perfect right angle and rotate the table in long sweeps.
