Id want to do enchiladas or Alfredo, or anything else someone would recommend. Just want to know if this stuff is safe/good quality.

I always look up the products on their website to look up the best ways to eat it.

If it’s shelf stable meat and not frozen section, it’s not going to be great for that reason.
As a Marylander eating shelf stable potted crab meat is a sin. But I’ve lived outiside the state for decades so I’ve tried a lot of alternatives. I’ve not tried this brand.
“Phillips” is a mainstream brand name and they sell lump backfin – blue swimming crab (usually Indian blue swimming crab) but it’s very similar tasting to Maryland blue swimming crab. That’s a close as you can get to more Maryland local fresh crab fresh meat (it’s very close) You can find Phillips on sale for 30 per pound in a “can” in frozen/iced seafood area. Most major grocery stores or places with upscale seafood areas will have it.
If you can find Phillips lump crab meat make Maryland crab cakes with it (google recipe called “Faidley’s crab cake recipe” that’s a very good Maryland style recipe. Follow recipe to letter no substitutes, no breaking up backfin lumps, they’re not hard to make, it’s just a 30 dollar meal. You get approx 6 very large lump crab cakes. 2 fills most people.

I do not use that brand but I have used plenty of other canned crab to throw in my fried rice or things like that. It is not going to be much like eating real crab but it does the job of adding some flavor.

It’s fine if you don’t have access to fresh crab. There’s no instance where this is better than fresh, but if you have a craving and are landlocked, it’ll do. Probably.
