I rolled the dough immediately after making between Saran Wrap then refrigerated or put the rolls into the freezer for a short time (3-5 days) and used as needed. It’s hard to roll out cold dough, easier to roll when fresh then just cut out shapes once it’s refrigerated or frozen.

I liked the video! However at the beginning you mention getting containers for all the dry ingredients and you are pulling everything from the original bags. Was that on purpose to show it could be easier from the containers? Overall very helpful video! I would love to know your cookie dough recipe. I’ve been playing around with doing some cookie decorating this Christmas.

video is great and informative. i like how fast you’re talking. i think the music is too loud for your voice over though. i would crop the video more, the mac and cheese boxes on the right hand side, coffee cup on the left, overhead amount of blank space and the lower sink are unnecessary in the shot. if cropped closer to you and the mixer it might be more engaging to viewers to see what you’re doing. plus if you’re posting on social media you can already imagine all the comments of people asking why you have an open drink container/food on floor etc. they complain about every little thing. lol

Coming from someone who watches an hour or so of reels a day (half of which are cookie decorating videos):
* Your lighting is a bit washed out. If you put the light source behind the camera that would help a lot * The focus of the video seems to be you which is fine, but I think you want the focus to be more on the baking process. If you could set up the camera over your shoulder or on the side of you that might help * Your first tip is putting dry ingredients in purchased containers, but it looks like all your dry ingredients are in their original containers. If it’s your #1 tip, why aren’t you doing it? * Many people watch reels without sound. Putting in-video closed captions would help (even if it’s just the five tips). Additionally- many people don’t want to sit around for the whole video, so putting the five tips in the caption of the video is a way to get your tips across for those who won’t stick around the whole time
All that being said- I think you have some great tips (some of which I haven’t thought of) that are going to help a lot of people (including me)!

I would recommend adding captions. 99% of the time I watch videos without sound so if captions aren’t included and are needed to understand the video, I skip it.
Also very beneficial for people who are deaf or hard of hearing 🙂
