  1. Do you use a food saver? I reuse freezer bags to and also waxed liners from cereal, ect. Love how you squeeze every penny!

  2. Have you tried dry canning your beans? I find it much easier, even though it is slightly off script. I like to use the blue painter's tape to label my freezer bags. It sticks well, without becoming permanent. I am able to reuse them multiple times, until they spring a leak.

  3. Great ideas. I think a handful of white beans in that soup would up the protein level if amount of chicken is small. I keep chopped celery and onion in my freezer too. but never thought of having the other components prepped in the freezer.

  4. Consider using garlic skins as well as onion skins in your broth. Both contain a lot of healthy nutrients as well as adding extra flavor.

  5. What a great day you had in the kitchen today. All that canned food will come in handy. You can't beat homemade soup with what ever you have on hand some Great soups have been made that way. Love your ideas Robin. Blessings to you !

  6. those little peanut butter cookies first came to my attention in '74 or '75. I kinda forgot about them but have to tell you they are also delicious using almond butter. I add just a bit of salt and vanilla to them.

  7. The soup looks wonderful! Thanks for the tips on prepping food for the freezer.

  8. Where did you get your chopper? Is it fairly easy to use? I have a different one that I am just not strong enough anymore to use.
    Love your videos!
Ok, just saw you using it and told where you got it
    I should have waited. 😂

  9. Hi Robin! I'm a day late to the party – Monday was busy! I'm amazed at how much I learn from your videos! For instance, I had no idea that you could make broth from onion skins. Thanks for sharing all these great food ideas – I really appreciate it! Have a blessed week! 💗

  10. Now I'm hungry for soup. That looked delicious. Thank you for sharing, and your ingredient prep is a wonderful idea.

  11. Darn, I was at the store today and forgot to get Italian sausage. I was going to make spaghetti Sunday. I have a similar food chopper, but the family loves finely chopped onion and pepper. So spoiled. Good video.
