Great light drinking wine. The legend goes that this was the second favourite wine of USSR’s Red Tsar – Stalin.

Local wine store had 20% off world wines and I decided to treat myself to something from the old country. This is a great light semi sweet wine. Not syrupy like one would expect from some other similar wines. Notes of cherry, not the sweet kind, a bit of black currant jam and a touch of cranberry mors. After drinking this one always asks oneself how do French people drink that Bordeaux by the barrel instead of this. Great to just kick back and binge on some Netflix with.

It sounds amazing, how does it compare to a Charles Krug Cabernet Sauvignon?
