I’m in downtown Chicago for a few days; what are the must hit places for tavern style pie? This is not that; a neopolitan from laboriolo, which is a good start imho

Roasti’s is a chain that fits the bill. I wish I had a down town recommendation that wasn’t a chain. Vito and Nick’s is a great tavern style but it’s pretty far from what most would consider the down town / loop area. Keeping an eye out for other’s suggestions though

Here’s an [article](https://abc7chicago.com/hungry-hound-steve-dolinsky-chicago-style-pizza-best/4173090/) that might be helpful. The author, Steve Dolinsky went to like 80 pizza joints to find the best of every type. He wrote a comprehensive article on tavern style some years ago but damned if I can find it. This article lists his top three in the city anyway. Personally, I have to agree Vito and Nicks is pretty damn good.
