So I bought a grade 4 Australian pure bread (allegedly) sirloin steak in a decent London butchers. It’s around 9oz I paid around £50 for it.

It tasted amazing, the first thing that blew me away at how soft/tender it was, even compared to a fillet. There was a real punchy aged “beefiness” to it despite it not being from their dry aged.

I would usually eat this much myself but I shared it with my wife and really filled me up as it’s rich as anything I’ve tasted.

It was a treat so couldn’t afford it all the time but we’ll worth trying if you can.

  1. wow turned out great esp considering you only seared part of the steak using that grill pan. Next time just use a normal flat cast iron skillet and sear the entire steak.
