Anticipation, expectation, panic. First brew with a moka pot. I did approximately everything wrong. Did it again, delicious.

I’d use my Moka pot more if it wasn’t so finicky. I swear I do the exact same thing every time and sometimes it’s delicious and sometimes it’s super over-extracted. Definitely takes some practice

I have an electric stove as well. It’s hard to make coffee with a moka pot consistently. I feel like a normal stove would work better

I have an electric coil stove and found it way too difficult to use the moka pot on, so I got a little camping stove that I’ll use for it since it was designed to be used for gas stoves. Much better results, it’s delicious every time. Also making coffee with fire adds some appeal

I have a gas stove and this doesn’t happen unless I stop paying attention. Is there a smaller size burner you can use on it? Maybe a little lower heat?

There’s a electric moka pot that has its own stand like and electric kettle, has anyone tried it?
I’m thinking of getting that myself since I have an electric coil stove.

Also it looks like Bialetti makes a heat diffuser plate to use with the moka pot on an induction stove, don’t know if that would work on electric coil though.

Edit: also apparently they make a moka pot specifically to use on an induction stove: https://www.amazon.com/Bialetti-Induction-Stovetop-suitable-induction/dp/B08BNVF2N5?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
