As an Aussie, I can get something similar, no black pudding either. I tend to ask if they can swap the mushrooms for another hashbrown, and I order extra bacon.

Y’all can fight me on this but the black pudding is the best part. Maybe you haven’t had a good one? I was up in northern Wales a few years back at a bed and breakfast and they had a local black pudding that was seriously one of the best things I’ve ever eaten…
