Hi!

I’m curious if anyone knows what’s the worst that could happen if using a pressure canner at 15psi when there is some pretty serious pitting? There isn’t a hole all the way through the side (my partner apparently brought it up to pressure recently for a bit and it held pressure) but you can see a small speck of corrosion on the outside and I’m opting out if using it anymore and thinking of ordering a replacement bottom or a new pressure canner of a different brand, but I’m really curious how dangerous it is, if at all, or if the worst that would happen is a pinhole would just allow all the steam to escape (my brain is imaging like, a literal explosion with metal shrapnel all over the kitchen but I have an irrational fear of literally everything exploding haha so idk how much of a risk that is)

Im going to email the company as well but would appreciate any insight y’all have!
Thanks
