Espresso is pretty damn convenient IMO.

I prefer to use the word “ritual” rather than “inconvenient”.

I’m never going to recover from that amount of damage

  4. This is hilarious, but also to be ‘that guy’: the benefit of manual pour-over or other manual brew methods vs automatic drip brewers is that you can adjust your method as finely and minutely as you want to give you your ideal cup for each new bag of beans. It requires some understanding of extraction and brewing science, but essentially the point is to not brew the same way each time, but to tailor your method so you maximize the flavour of your coffee, because each bag of beans is a little different. This is an aspect you miss out on with the convenience of automatic brewers.

Shhhh….don’t tell us!!! Just let us believe in the magic!!!

Tbh, my wife loves that I make her coffee (french press) each morning. It’s part of our morning ritual at this point. I joke that it’s only reason she still keeps me around. So please, don’t tell her she can get coffee that tastes just as good as mine so easily!!!
