This smoker is an absolute unit!!! I’m so happy with this purchase and have made some killer food with it. I’ve always been underwhelmed with pellet smokers in the smoke department and when my last one took a shit I vowed to find something else. Enter this masterbuilt 1050 for sub $1000 and that charcoal / wood cooking combination that absolutely blows pellets out of the water. If anyone is in the market for a new smoker definitely do not overlook this awesome machine!

Quick question, I have the MB800 and I have only used the jealous devil XL briquettes and I love them! I bought a bag of the b&b charcoal but haven’t used it yet. What do you think of it?
Are you loading a split vertically and then filling with briquettes? Been wanting to try this in mine, have only used chunks so far.
Is that the rack mod? How do you like it? Been thinking about the Lss one for my mb800
